Tuesday!!

Hellooooo and welcome Tuesday! So nice to see you! Is it bad that I also count down the days until the weekend even though I'm not even working? (so what, I love hanging out with the husband so the weekends are the highlight of my weeks)

Is it me or does it feel like I have 101 things to do and every single day I get 1 thing done...please tell me I'm not the only one that gets easily distracted by a cute baby that would much rather play then clean the house!

I'm in the process of reading THREE yes THREE books, I can't help it! I'm trying to finish all of them BUT I get stuck reading one, one day & then the next day I'm stuck on the other one...one is teaching me how to get Mr Carter to sleep better and so far it's AMAZING! I want to finish it ASAP too so I can start implementing all of the ideas BUT sometimes learning books get boring and I gotta switch over to Ali Wentworths book I don't even know who she is except she comes out on the view ALL the time and she's funny so I got her book! And I'm glad I did cause its also pretty funny! Ohhhh and I'm positive I didn't mention this before BUT I just got 25 books in my iBooks for $5! Yes you read that right $5!! Woot woot! I loooove when I find sales!

Carter decided he was going to be Mr Grumpy man as soon as we got to my parents house for the Super Bowl on Sunday -.- BUT I'm glad to say he threw his fit RIGHT when the power went off sooooo I didn't miss ALL of it! Which leads me to the 3rd book I'm reading! The wonder weeks book, I've heard lots about it now I wanna know if its true! BUT mostly I want to know how to help carter NOT get meltdowns every couple of weeks.

Is it bad that we just booked a vacation for May and I couldn't be more excited?! I have been dying to go on a vacation.  The husband and I usually go on a vacation once a year BUT last year with being pregnant and the husband taking a whole week off when carter came we couldn't do it sooooo this is our first vacation since LAST November when we went on our cruise! YES November 2011! :/ I'm soooo excited to get outta town! And I loooove flying on planes (hoping & praying so does Carter)
From our trip to San Francisco 2009 :)
Is this post all kinds of random for you? Ya I thought so too! BUT the husband did paint Carter's dresser for his room FINALLY! (So what were a couple months late having his room ready, it's not like he sleeps in there) and it came out AMAZING!!! Now we just need a toy box and a book shelf (coming soon) and we'll OFFICIALLY be done!!  It might actually be finished by time he turns one.  are we procrastinators?  maybe a little bit.

Okay this post is WAY too random to continue BUT we registered for Carter's baptism and I'm SUPER excited!  That, and I can't believe it's ALMOST time for Easter when this happened!  So exciting can't believe a year ago I was pregnant!  :)  OH and I wanna donate my hair...does anyone know if there is a specific salon that does this?  Super cuts or something?  Ugh it's getting ridiculously long and I'm kinda over it being THIS long.  Plus they'll make wigs for kids with no hair, sounds awesome to me :)

Happy Tuesday Friends :D

Decorator? Not Really....

Sooooooo since we have MOVED and kinda getting everything settled I have NOT done ANYTHING AT ALL!!!  Like decorating wise...I don't know if I've ever mentioned this before...BUT I'm NOT a decorator at ALL!  LIKE NOT ONE BIT.

It's sad really...

I get super sad thinking that I don't have an eye for making things look cute and pretty, because in reality I don't :(

I always see SUPER cute living rooms and their so perfect!
LIKE THIS ONE

I mean these living rooms are so cute, and decorated no nice, I look at blog after blog of people designing their house, and they find things at yard sales, ross, marshalls, craigslist etc, and they see things that are like eh whatever and they bring them home and turn them into AMAZING things!  OR they find the craziest looking things and when they bring them home they look AMAZING in their house!  This NEVER happens to me...I think Oh that's cute, bring it home and it looks boring I really am the worst decorator ever :(

I mean look at THIS bedroom!
Source
soooooooooo simple and sooooooo cute!  NO?  I mean it looks so easy, and looks so cute and organized, and do you think I could ever make my bedroom look cute like this?  NOPE NEVER :(
Source
Source
Right now, I want to do THIS!!
Source
Because we have a VERY low bed!!
There's lots of space at the top of it...so I figured it would look cute...BUT I don't know if I could do it, what if it gets messed up?  AND we live in an apt so that's a LOT of holes in the wall that we would EVENTUALLY have to patch up...BUT I'm trying to think of things to make this room look cute...like i said...i am not a decorator :(  AND I am obviously on a budget!  I mean duhhh I have a baby on the way!!

Soooooo, if anyone has any ideas of cute ways to decorate....OR  any good tips for someone that has NO idea how to make houses look cute, by alllllllll means please send them my wayyyyyyyyy my house could REALLY REALLY use them!

Happy Tuesday!!!
ONLY 3 more days until I'm OFFICIALLY on maternity leave :)

S-A-L-E!!

I'm sure I'm like MOST women and we LOVE a GOOD sale!!  (did I really just call myself a women?  really when do you go from a young lady to a women?  sounds so old...okay back to what I was saying) So, I have found a couple of websites recently through different places that I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE for a  good deal!

my first NEW favorite place is My Habit!  It's seriously the BEST!!  I have bought a couple of different things for the baby from there and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM is absolutely ADORABLE!!  Once I got the stuff, I was super excited that 1. it comes in like four days.  2. the stuff is really really good quality and 3. the stuff that i've been paying like 6-10 a piece FULL price cost between $30-$50 (I only know because I LOVED it so much that I thought about paying full price, until I looked up the website of the clothes and they were for RICH people)  good thing I found this website to make my kid look like he's rich when he's CLEARLY NOT!

Anyway, this website is AMAZING!  AND the BEST thing that I LOVE about it!  is that's ALWAYS free shipping (of course unless you order a bed or something HUGE, then they charge you a surcharge) but other then that FREE shipping!  that's my FAVORITE!  I hate when I go to buy something off of a cool website and the stuff I get is so cute and so cheap only to find out that when I'm buying cost less then the dumb shipping costs.  SO annoying!!  Oh and they don't charge tax :)  What price is you see the price you pay!  LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Okay, second place that I have recently come OBSESSED with is called Zulily it's kinda like My Habit, BUT My Habit has men, women children, stuff for everyone and Zulily is focused on babies, kids and moms.  I have been drooling over lots and lots of things for the baby for the last couple of days...BUT unlike my habit they do charge shipping and it's ALMOST $9 so I hadn't bought ANYTHING :(  BUT today I found the CUTEST outfit for the baby to wear on Halloween, and I HAD to have it!  I know, I WAS going to make him Mickey Mouse, BUT again I didn't want to pay Disney $10 for shipping when the whole outfit was only $20!  and I couldn't find a coupon code ANYWHERE -.-  Soooo anywho the husband and I both have a couple of god kids, well he has ONE and I have THREE which totals FOUR right, well TWO of those said god kids birthdays are within ONE day of each other, ONE on the 8th of September and ONE on the 9th of September (remember I told you that LOTS of people in my family share birthdays with either holidays or other people in our family, it's really crazy actually) anywho so I figured since I was going to buy the baby this cute outfit anyway so I started to look around for cute stuff for the kids since their bdays are coming soon too right, WELL I found the CUTEST winter coat for the husband's god daughter AND a cute dress and a SUPER cute sweater for my god son and a cute T-REX shirt!  ALL of it came out to a decent price, BUT I saw that there was a place for a "PROMO CODE" well if you're anything like me, when you see that you instantly search google to see if you can find something to stick in that little slot, and WHAT DID I FIND??  A promo code for FREE shipping!  WOO HOO I just saved myself $9 (please don't tell me I'm the only one that gets excited about saving $9? the other day at Target the husband and I bought a book for the baby and a movie, and if you bought both you got $5 off, the register wouldn't give us the discount so I had to stand in line at customer service to get my $5 the husband seriously laughed at me while I waited my 5 minutes, and said I can't believe you're standing in line for $5, well CLEARLY that's why he isn't in charge of the bills right?)  ANY WAY I was excited and NOW I have the babies SUPER cute Halloween costume & a couple of B-Day presents out of the way!  Seems like a pretty successful shopping day if I do say so myself!

P.S. I also bought THREE blu-rays TWO of them Disney Movies for the low price of $39 PLUS I'm going to be receiving a $10 coupon to use as cash at Best Buy on a a later date :)  LOVE SALES!

AND feel free to check out any of those websites, seriously LOVE THEM!!  Even if you're like me and spend the first two weeks just window shopping!  SOOO much cute stuff to look at!

Bucket List

I have been thinking about this often, because people ALWAYS say, Oh that's on my bucket list!  Actually I started thinking about it when I heard about that 90 year old lady that went skydiving because it was on her bucket list, I realized that although there are LOTS of things that I would LIKE to do before I kick the bucket I haven't actually ever written them down, SO today I'm going to write down what I would like to do before I kick the bucket, and some stuff that I have already done, that would probably NEVER do again, or am glad I have done.

Bucket List

Go to the Super Bowl!!!
It doesn't matter which one or where I just want to say at some point in my life, oh ya I went to that Super Bowl, sounds AMAZING right?  And I'd take my Dad with me, because really he is the one that confirmed my LOVE for football :)
source
Go to Europe with the Husband
and make sure we go to England & Ireland because those are TWO places that look AMAZING that I have never been!
Go on a Cruise to Alaska during Summer
We had actually talked about going to do this next summer, but with Carter coming we will see if it actually happens, if not we WILL do this in the summers coming, it sounds like so much fun and REALLY how cool would it be to see an iceburg in person right next to you??  PLUS the northern lights?  A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!
source
Own a House
I can't wait to actually sign papers that say we OWN this house and for the NEXT 30 years we will be paying for it!  I can't wait to decorate it exactly how I want, and know that our kids can grow up there knowing that it would always be their home :)
Road Trip Across America
OMG!!  I want to do this so bad, the husband and pretty much done this when he started trucking BUT not with a companion in tow, I think it would be so much fun once we have more kids or just Carter and take off in a motor home and drive all around the U.S. I haven't seen nearly enough states, I mean come on I haven't even seen the grand canyon!
source
Have an teaching job that I LOVE
You would think that someone's bucket list would not consist of getting a job, but really I LOVE being a teacher and can't wait for ANYTHING to actually get a job teaching in a school that I love!
Things that I've already completed :)
(and i just wanna brag about)

Go Skydiving
The Husband & I were just watching the Video of the day we went Skydiving and I had JUST turned 23 :O OMG was that really FOUR years ago??  I can't believe it!!  It was AMAZING and a CRAZY experience that I would PROBABLY NEVER do again, it was scary and anyone that tells you it wasn't is CRAZY!!   I plan to write a whole post about my experience, eventually.

Get Married
I always wanted someone to call my husband and someone to be able to build a life with.  I am so happy that the person that I have found is AMAZING and truly my soul mate :)

Graduate College
Completed in 2006 YAY!

Graduate with Master's Degree
Completed in 2011 and my whole family was JUST as excited to share in this life changing experience as I was, now if ONLY that Master's Degree would help me find a job! :l

Go on a Hot Air Balloon Ride
The husband & I like doing things that are different and fun, and when we went on our honeymoon we wanted to do something that was fun and different, so we went on a HOT AIR BALLOON ride around San Diego, and it was AMAZING!!!  So beautiful!!  LOVE LOVE LOVED it!!  (even if we did lock the keys in our rental car and were afraid that when we got back the car would be stolen, thank god it wasn't)

Past Life

Don't you love when you randomly find or see pictures that are from years ago, and in an instant all of these funny, or random memories come to your mind?  I often reminisce about times when I was young, and all I had to worry about was making sure my phone bill was paid and what I was going to wear to the party the following weekend....oh how times have changed, right?

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before on this here blog, BUT I went to school about four hours away from my family at Fresno State, and ALTHOUGH at first it was the HARDEST thing I have ever done, I mean literally crying every single day because I didn't want to be there anymore, it ended up being one of the BEST experiences of my whole entire life!!!  AND definitely something that I'll NEVER forget!!!

While I was there I met LOTS of AMAZING people and joined a sorority called
Phi Mu
I never really thought that I would be a "sorority girl" but my cousin had told me that since I was having such a hard time adjusting to living so far away from family it would be good to check one out, toward the end of my Freshman Year my then boyfriend and I started dating and he was in a Fraternity, so of course when I went to a formal with him I met lots of girls from the sorority and we had SO MUCH FUN!!  I loved them, they were all so nice and it seemed like something that was so much fun to be apart of!  So that following Fall I rushed!  I made it through rush and being a little tiny Phi, (the name we call you when you are pledging the sorority).  In November of 2004 I officially became a
Phi Mu
That following fall I moved into the house and that's when the real fun began, I had moved there from an apartment that I shared with three other girls, BUT we had our room and we had to share two bathrooms with THREE other girls, once I moved into the sorority house I had to share ONE bathroom (yes it had about FOUR stalls & FIVE showers, but still) with FORTY girls!!  Needless to say, it was CRAZY, especially when there was any event going on!  BUT it was the BEST, so much fun!!
We did things like
Sports night!
Random trips to get pinatas for a sisters birthday @ 2 am!!
Carnival parties
where we all got to act like kids and run around playing "carnival games" for prizes and alcohol!
RANDOM trips
to spend the weekend at the beach :)
Football games on a charter bus @ 6:30 am!
that made us wake up before the sun, and start drinking before 8, to get there two hours before the game, and tailgate with LOTS of San Jose fans, surprisingly they were all very nice and hospitable to us the opposing team!
$1 beer night
it was our FAVORITE I mean really, we're broke college students this was the BEST deal ever, even if it did mean we had to go out on Mondays!
We HAD to come up with the
BEST Halloween costumes
because we had LOTS of Halloween parties to go to!
We DID study, even if it was at the BAR!!!...told you...
we LOVED $1 beer nights :)
Sometimes, we would just get
CRAZY in our room!!
P.S. YES, I did just post this picture because my hair color was cute, and I look SUPER SKINNY sue me!
But after all that fun,
YES I did graduate
actually EARLY
I lived in the sorority house until I graduated and until this day I would tell anyone and everyone that pledging a sorority is the BEST thing that you could do while in college, it literally makes college SOO much more fun then it already is.  SO thank you Fresno State & thank you Phi Mu for making my college experience one that I will NEVER forget!!!
(Oh AND thanks Myspace for keeping all my fun pictures nice and safe for me :))

a Moving update

Man, Oh Man, where did my weekend go??  Can someone please find it, and bring it back here, NOW!!  I need it back ASAP!

Okay, so an update on the weekend, I had taken 1/2 of a day off on Friday so that I could do a couple of things, like take the Xterra to get fixed, and take the puppies to get their shots PLUS I had to go pick up our keys for the new apartment!  Well, I FIGURED with the rest of my day I would have time to go back to the house and pack some more, WELL see what happens when you make plans like that, my car didn't end up getting finished until AFTER 7 o'clock and I still had to drive home, so needless to say, NOT much packing happened on Friday night, we ended up going to bed pretty early and deciding that we would wake up at 6 in order to finish packing and get everything ready for when everyone came to help!

We did ACTUALLY for once wake up on time, we got to packing and prepared for everyone to come.  At one point during the week, the husband told me, "I'm pretty sure that we will only need to make one or two trips at the MOST to take everything to the new apartment"  I knew that this was NOT true because I could tell we had a LOT of stuff!  But, I let him think that, finally every one got there and ALMOST everything was packed into FIVE different trucks!!  AND we still had LOTS of stuff left to take!!  It was getting hot, but at least we had LOTS of help, I think I ended up counting that we had OVER 15 people helping us, carrying things, helping us pack everything!  It was the BEST!!  AND we finished moving EVERY SINGLE thing from one apartment to the next apartment by 3 or 4 o'clock!  I CANNOT begin to say how thankful I am to our friends & family for helping us this weekend!!  YOU GUYS are the BEST!!!  We even were able to put a lot of stuff away!!

It is nice to be in our NEW MUCH BIGGER apartment, it's way more roomy and way cooler, as in temperature wise, I think it's because we don't have DIRECT sun beating against our front door, like we did at the Camilla Shore!  But it was weird, on Friday night when we went to go see the new apartment and make sure they had finished painting and putting the carpet, I got kinda sad thinking that we were gonna wake up in the new apartment that following Sunday (weird especially considering that I had wanted to move for so long).

When I woke up on Saturday I was still kinda sad, and once everyone left us there alone on Saturday I just felt an instant feeling of homesickness so weird.  We had to go back to Camilla to leave the keys and cover some holes so we went over there on Saturday night, and I'm not gonna lie, it made me get really teary eyed leaving that place.  It's weird that you want something so bad but when you get it then you get sad, does that make sense?  Well when we left Camilla, as we were leaving I wanted to cry :(  We had started our lives together there, as husband and wife, we were comfortable there, the puppies were comfortable there.  We had our routine that worked perfectly, the area was beautiful and the people (some of them) were nice people.  We were now leaving to face the unknown, we didn't know how the people above or below would be, OR how our direct neighbors would be.  OR even if we would like it, it's weird that all of a sudden you get sad about the unknown right?  I just thought about how excited we were to move into our own place that the first night when we slept on the floor we didn't even care, we were so excited to be there!

I am super excited to be in our new place, and I do love it!  AND I can't wait til everything is in it's spot and nice and neat, I'm sure we'll feel 100% more comfortable.  AND I can't wait til we have cable, I really missed watching the news this morning.  BUT really, I as much as I wanted out of the Camilla Shore I do miss it a tiny bit.

So, now you see, it's funny that for the PAST month I've been talking about HOW MUCH I LOVE our new apartment and how I couldn't wait to leave our old apartment (AND I'M POSITIVE that in a couple of weeks I'm going to be in LOVE with this apartment) but for this post, I am going to reminisce about all the good things that the Camilla Shore gave to us :)

Thank you Camilla Shore for....
....loving my little puppies, you all loved Fox & Marlee so much and would always stop to pet them.
....making the management our next door neighbors, besides the random cigarette smoke they were actually good neighbors
....being in an AMAZING neighborhood!!  Literally I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!  It's so green and so amazing!!!
....allowing us to live next to a fraternity house, I mean seriously watching those girls doing the walk of shame after any holiday or party was AMAZING!!  Reminded me of my Phi Mu days, when we'd sit in the dining room and watch all the girls do that same walk.
....allowing us to see random wildlife, it made it feel like we were at summer camp randomly.
....being our very first apartment and something that we could afford and be comfortable in.
....making deadsol leave, I mean it makes the apartment complex better for everyone.
....giving us the BEST neighbors that anyone could ask for, I mean seriously we would have NEVER met Britt & Adrian if it weren't for you, and I'm positive we'll be long lasting friends, all thanks to Camilla.
....having the historic house across the street from you, I mean my dogs did love having a yard to be able to run around in :)
....having a tiny kitchen, because you made me truly appreciate this new apartment.
....letting me know what it feels like when people say cramped quarters, if you had to move your table away from the wall and touching the fridge in order to allow 4 people to sit at it then you were entirely too small, BUT we do appreciate our bigger dining room now :)
....making us realize that we NEVER want to live in the type of apartment where people walk by your apartment on a daily basis EVER again!!  Really??  Running with a SHIT LOAD of keys attached to your waist, is NOT something I want to hear every Saturday morning.
....hosting all our Jersey Shore nights!
....appreciate carpet again, because all though we thought we were going to LOVE those hardwood floors, REALLY they were a HUGE pain in the ass!  When we buy a house if we get hardwood floors, we are going to make sure to spend money on the quality ones, because those cheap ones are TERRIBLE!

I hope you all had a WONDERFUL weekend, and please pray that I get my house in order this week, I think I'm feeling "homesick" because everything is still such a mess, and I need everything in a place soon!

AND remember when I said I can't wait for July to be here?  Well I realized that it's here and it's going by SUPER fast, and ALMOST all of our weekends are filled with events!  Please July, hurry up your weekdays but slooooooooooow day your weekends :) K thanks!! :D

MOVING is the WORST

So, I have been talking about us moving for a while now, and it's FINALLY the week that we are moving!  When we got married we had Little Fox, and we needed a place that allowed dogs, and was in the price range that we felt comfortable with, so when we found the place we are in now, I was excited!  It was little, BUT it was more room then we had living at my parents house in a tiny bedroom!  AND we LOVED LOVED LOVED the neighborhood, they allowed dogs, and the floors were hardwood and AMAZING!

Needless to say, we looked passed some things that were NOT so great, the itty bitty kitchen (literally, if two people are in there you will be pumping into each other, and the fridge won't open all the way) -.- ALSO to get from the car to our house, is FOUR yes FOUR flights of stairs, same thing if you want to do laundry.  AND the walls are paper thin, OH and we have had LOTS of complainers about anything from our dogs WALKING too hard, living next to a Fraternity House, AND oh ya neighbors leaving notes on our door, TWO weeks after we moved in saying that they can hear our TV! (ridiculous, considering for ONE of week we were gone on our honeymoon) It has been a long, almost two years, and we really did love this tiny apartment, it was the BEST first apartment, AND I am going to miss it, BUT I am ready to move on to bigger and better things!

The new apartment has a POOL, a FITNESS CENTER (it's tiny, but it has a treadmill), a BALCONY, TWO BEDROOMS & TWO BATHROOMS, a BIG step up from our tiny one bedroom, one bath right now, A HUGE kitchen with LOTS of counter space, a DISH WASHER, a wayyy bigger dining area, AND bigger closets (which is funny, because when we moved into the apartment we are in right now, we were super excited about the closet that we have right now, because we had the super small standard closet before) and NOW bigger!!  I'm excited!!!

So, now the downside to moving....
PACKING
I hate it, so much!  We kinda started on Sunday which means we packed all our DVD's and some of our books! :)  and umm that's it, and then last night we started packing up MOST of the living room, actually it's pretty much packed just furniture left.

BUT, I have been on the phone with people from all the utility companies for the last two days, and blahhhh I don't like dealing with all the people I have to deal with to change everything over, it reminds me of when I was changing my name :l

So, after ALL of this complaining about moving, I mean I think I've done enough of it in my life, considering when I was in college I MOVED EVERY SINGLE YEAR :/ BUT I am really really really excited to finally be in the new apartment, it's bigger, and better and hopefully doesn't have paper thin walls, AND to make things better our neighbors are moving to the SAME apartment complex like us, remember when I was talking about how sad I was that we were leaving them, because they are the BEST neighbors ever!  WELL looks like we will just be cross the street neighbors soon, so we're excited! :D

BUT, until everything is set up in our NEW apartment, I'm going to continue to complain about how much I hate moving, thank god we have LOTS and LOTS of people coming to help us with the move,
Thank You Friends/Family you guys are the BEST!

So, happy 4th of July EVE everyone!!!  I hope you guys have lots of fun, eating, drinking and lighting fireworks tomorrow, I LOVE the 4th!
SO MUCH FUN!!

Oh, and as PROMISED, I have a picture of little Penelope, and why do I love this puppy so MUCH, she is doing the BEST with pad training AND is the calmest little puppy ever, and DID I mention the CUTEST little puppy EVER!
Meet Penelope
(still working on a middle name)
isn't her shirt the cutest, I got it at the swapmeet for $1 LOVE!

Wednesday Morning Blues

Do you ever wake up in the morning feeling so refreshed, because for one time this week, the cat, the dog, puppies, your cell phone, or your snoring husband didn't wake you up, NOT once last night, I mean you didn't even wake up to pee until seven and you feel AMAZING!!  Kinda like this!!

source
Ready for a new day, and ready to continue your week!  You really can't believe how good you feel, You know that you are going to have a GREAT day! :D

You get ready, you eat breakfast, you make your lunch, and you get in your car!  You know it's going to be good, you even left on time!

THEN, you get on the freeway and what's this!??!  DEAD STOPPED traffic!?!?!  You are not a mere ten miles of your 28 mile trip to work and you have already been in the car for thirty-five minutes!  You are supposed to be at work in ten!  WONDERFUL!!  You listen to the radio, maybe it help keep this wonderful mood you were in before you got to work going, turn on your favorite radio station and they're on vacation, you try to listen to other ones that people listen to and rave about often, and you can't get interested, they're not as funny, not as interesting, so you start to day dream....ten minutes later you are still fifteen minutes from work!  WONDERFUL you will be there LATE!  >.<

Finally, you get off the freeway, you get into work just 15 or 20 minutes late, it's okay your mood is still okay, you haven't let traffic get you down, BUT then...you get into the office and you start to feel like this.

What happened to your wonderful mood you woke up with this lovely Wednesday morning?!?!  Why is it that now you are struggling to keep your eyes open, when you got such a good nights rest???  Could it be the traffic?  Being late?  Not listening to your favorite radio show?  Who knows, but all I know is that right now Monday was a whole lot better to me then this Wednesday has been, let's hope the day gets better!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!
Just think, ONLY two more days (after this one) until the weekend!!!
