It's Okay Thursday

Yay Thursday!!!

It's Okay that....

...I'm totally OBSESSED with the muffins from Costco (it might be because they taste JUST like chocolate cake, but whatev)

...I have been making my OWN iced coffee for the past week & I think it might actually taste better then when I buy it out!  1/2 decaf AND Carter LOVES it!!

....this month is FLYING by, and I CAN'T believe how fast it's going!

....I'm going on vacation in TWO weeks, YAY!  Can't wait!

....every single year when I plan our family trip right before I get a little stressed...dealing with OVER twenty five people with LOUD personalities can be a little hectic, but NBD

....I might have stuffed quite a bit of stuff inside Carter's closet room!  Well, we do have THREE or so months to clean it out, but right now it's all hidden so it makes my house look decent & it's not like he needs his closet right now.

....I might be starting to freak out JUST a tiny bit that the baby will be here REALLY soon! :-O  I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going...but I LOVE IT!

....little Penelope is NOT fully potty trained yet, but we have barricaded her inside the kitchen/dining room

....I've been watching The Hills from the very beginning and it's the BEST & Spencers still a douchebag!

....I haven't gone swimming in our new pool yet :(

....I have the worst memory right now, and if I want to remember anything I MUST keep reminding myself all day long :l or else it's GONE forever!

....we have LOTS of laundry to wash BUT we have only washed ONE load of laundry since we've been at the apartment

....I want a weekend where we don't have anything planned, but it doesn't look like one of those is gonna happen until NEXT MONTH!

....I'm waaaaaaaay excited to go to California Adventure on Sunday, EVEN if I can't even go on the Cars ride :(

....I really really really really really want a King size bed!!  LIKE really bad :l  I NEED to start playing the lottery so that I can win and get all the things that I want/think I need!!  Really...I just need like $20,000 is that too much to ask for??  That's not even the jackpot!

Past Life

Don't you love when you randomly find or see pictures that are from years ago, and in an instant all of these funny, or random memories come to your mind?  I often reminisce about times when I was young, and all I had to worry about was making sure my phone bill was paid and what I was going to wear to the party the following weekend....oh how times have changed, right?

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before on this here blog, BUT I went to school about four hours away from my family at Fresno State, and ALTHOUGH at first it was the HARDEST thing I have ever done, I mean literally crying every single day because I didn't want to be there anymore, it ended up being one of the BEST experiences of my whole entire life!!!  AND definitely something that I'll NEVER forget!!!

While I was there I met LOTS of AMAZING people and joined a sorority called 

Phi Mu

I never really thought that I would be a "sorority girl" but my cousin had told me that since I was having such a hard time adjusting to living so far away from family it would be good to check one out, toward the end of my Freshman Year my then boyfriend and I started dating and he was in a Fraternity, so of course when I went to a formal with him I met lots of girls from the sorority and we had SO MUCH FUN!!  I loved them, they were all so nice and it seemed like something that was so much fun to be apart of!  So that following Fall I rushed!  I made it through rush and being a little tiny Phi, (the name we call you when you are pledging the sorority).  In November of 2004 I officially became a 

Phi Mu

That following fall I moved into the house and that's when the real fun began, I had moved there from an apartment that I shared with three other girls, BUT we had our room and we had to share two bathrooms with THREE other girls, once I moved into the sorority house I had to share ONE bathroom (yes it had about FOUR stalls & FIVE showers, but still) with FORTY girls!!  Needless to say, it was CRAZY, especially when there was any event going on!  BUT it was the BEST, so much fun!!  

We did things like

Sports night!

Random trips to get pinatas for a sisters birthday @ 2 am!!

Carnival parties

where we all got to act like kids and run around playing "carnival games" for prizes and alcohol!

RANDOM trips 

to spend the weekend at the beach :)

Football games on a charter bus @ 6:30 am!

that made us wake up before the sun, and start drinking before 8, to get there two hours before the game, and tailgate with LOTS of San Jose fans, surprisingly they were all very nice and hospitable to us the opposing team!

$1 beer night 

it was our FAVORITE I mean really, we're broke college students this was the BEST deal ever, even if it did mean we had to go out on Mondays!

We HAD to come up with the 

BEST Halloween costumes 

because we had LOTS of Halloween parties to go to!

We DID study, even if it was at the BAR!!!...told you...

we LOVED $1 beer nights :)

But after all that fun, 

YES I did graduate, 

actually EARLY

I lived in the sorority house until I graduated and until this day I would tell anyone and everyone that pledging a sorority is the BEST thing that you could do while in college, it literally makes college SOO much more fun then it already is.  SO thank you Fresno State & thank you Phi Mu for making my college experience one that I will NEVER forget!!!

a Moving update

Man, Oh Man, where did my weekend go??  Can someone please find it, and bring it back here, NOW!!  I need it back ASAP!

Okay, so an update on the weekend, I had taken 1/2 of a day off on Friday so that I could do a couple of things, like take the Xterra to get fixed, and take the puppies to get their shots PLUS I had to go pick up our keys for the new apartment!  Well, I FIGURED with the rest of my day I would have time to go back to the house and pack some more, WELL see what happens when you make plans like that, my car didn't end up getting finished until AFTER 7 o'clock and I still had to drive home, so needless to say, NOT much packing happened on Friday night, we ended up going to bed pretty early and deciding that we would wake up at 6 in order to finish packing and get everything ready for when everyone came to help!

We did ACTUALLY for once wake up on time, we got to packing and prepared for everyone to come.  At one point during the week, the husband told me, "I'm pretty sure that we will only need to make one or two trips at the MOST to take everything to the new apartment"  I knew that this was NOT true because I could tell we had a LOT of stuff!  But, I let him think that, finally every one got there and ALMOST everything was packed into FIVE different trucks!!  AND we still had LOTS of stuff left to take!!  It was getting hot, but at least we had LOTS of help, I think I ended up counting that we had OVER 15 people helping us, carrying things, helping us pack everything!  It was the BEST!!  AND we finished moving EVERY SINGLE thing from one apartment to the next apartment by 3 or 4 o'clock!  I CANNOT begin to say how thankful I am to our friends & family for helping us this weekend!!  YOU GUYS are the BEST!!!  We even were able to put a lot of stuff away!!

It is nice to be in our NEW MUCH BIGGER apartment, it's way more roomy and way cooler, as in temperature wise, I think it's because we don't have DIRECT sun beating against our front door, like we did at the Camilla Shore!  But it was weird, on Friday night when we went to go see the new apartment and make sure they had finished painting and putting the carpet, I got kinda sad thinking that we were gonna wake up in the new apartment that following Sunday (weird especially considering that I had wanted to move for so long).

When I woke up on Saturday I was still kinda sad, and once everyone left us there alone on Saturday I just felt an instant feeling of homesickness so weird.  We had to go back to Camilla to leave the keys and cover some holes so we went over there on Saturday night, and I'm not gonna lie, it made me get really teary eyed leaving that place.  It's weird that you want something so bad but when you get it then you get sad, does that make sense?  Well when we left Camilla, as we were leaving I wanted to cry :(  We had started our lives together there, as husband and wife, we were comfortable there, the puppies were comfortable there.  We had our routine that worked perfectly, the area was beautiful and the people (some of them) were nice people.  We were now leaving to face the unknown, we didn't know how the people above or below would be, OR how our direct neighbors would be.  OR even if we would like it, it's weird that all of a sudden you get sad about the unknown right?  I just thought about how excited we were to move into our own place that the first night when we slept on the floor we didn't even care, we were so excited to be there!

I am super excited to be in our new place, and I do love it!  AND I can't wait til everything is in it's spot and nice and neat, I'm sure we'll feel 100% more comfortable.  AND I can't wait til we have cable, I really missed watching the news this morning.  BUT really, I as much as I wanted out of the Camilla Shore I do miss it a tiny bit.

So, now you see, it's funny that for the PAST month I've been talking about HOW MUCH I LOVE our new apartment and how I couldn't wait to leave our old apartment (AND I'M POSITIVE that in a couple of weeks I'm going to be in LOVE with this apartment) but for this post, I am going to reminisce about all the good things that the Camilla Shore gave to us :)

Thank you Camilla Shore for....

....loving my little puppies, you all loved Fox & Marlee so much and would always stop to pet them.
....making the management our next door neighbors, besides the random cigarette smoke they were actually good neighbors
....being in an AMAZING neighborhood!!  Literally I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!  It's so green and so amazing!!!
....allowing us to live next to a fraternity house, I mean seriously watching those girls doing the walk of shame after any holiday or party was AMAZING!!  Reminded me of my Phi Mu days, when we'd sit in the dining room and watch all the girls do that same walk.
....allowing us to see random wildlife, it made it feel like we were at summer camp randomly.
....being our very first apartment and something that we could afford and be comfortable in.
....making deadsol leave, I mean it makes the apartment complex better for everyone.
....giving us the BEST neighbors that anyone could ask for, I mean seriously we would have NEVER met Britt & Adrian if it weren't for you, and I'm positive we'll be long lasting friends, all thanks to Camilla.
....having the historic house across the street from you, I mean my dogs did love having a yard to be able to run around in :)
....having a tiny kitchen, because you made me truly appreciate this new apartment.
....letting me know what it feels like when people say cramped quarters, if you had to move your table away from the wall and touching the fridge in order to allow 4 people to sit at it then you were entirely too small, BUT we do appreciate our bigger dining room now :)
....making us realize that we NEVER want to live in the type of apartment where people walk by your apartment on a daily basis EVER again!!  Really??  Running with a SHIT LOAD of keys attached to your waist, is NOT something I want to hear every Saturday morning.

....hosting all our Jersey Shore nights!

....appreciate carpet again, because all though we thought we were going to LOVE those hardwood floors, REALLY they were a HUGE pain in the ass!  When we buy a house if we get hardwood floors, we are going to make sure to spend money on the quality ones, because those cheap ones are TERRIBLE!

I hope you all had a WONDERFUL weekend, and please pray that I get my house in order this week, I think I'm feeling "homesick" because everything is still such a mess, and I need everything in a place soon!

AND remember when I said I can't wait for July to be here?  Well I realized that it's here and it's going by SUPER fast, and ALMOST all of our weekends are filled with events!  Please July, hurry up your weekdays but slooooooooooow day your weekends :) K thanks!! :D

Baby Laines-25 Weeks

How far along: 25 weeks!  YAHOOOO only 15 more to go!  :)

Baby's size: 13-14 inches, the size of a cauliflower  

Miss Anything: Ummm, being able to drink as much coffee as I wanted, without feeling bad.  ALSO I kinda miss beer randomly, I don't want any right now, but I would like to able to have one if I feel like it.

Best moment this week:  Getting the babies crib, we have to paint it and get everything set up, but it's crazy to think there is going to be a baby sleeping in there soon!

Movement: He's been moving, but still not enough for other people to feel him, I tell everyone he's just LAZY, he doesn't like moving that much.

Food cravings:  Hmmm, besides soda, and ice cream nothing too crazy!

Anything making you queasy or sick: when I don't eat, I still feel sick, but if I make sure to eat breakfast, lunch & dinner then I don't have any at all!

Maternity Clothes: Yes, please!!  I need some more, because I am going crazy, hardly any of my clothes fit me anymore :(

Stretch marks: Still none yet, THANK GOD!!!!

Symptoms I HAVE:   Besides, feel like like I can't breathe, or waking up in the middle of the night, because I MUST lay on my side, and it went numb, nothing really too bad, ya for still feeling good :)

Doctor’s Appointment:  Not for two weeks, and they are all pretty standard right now, I have actually started making a list of things to ask her, since usually I just go in there and say I don't have any questions.

What I'm looking forward to:  The baby shower, and getting everything together in his room!

Gender: BOY!!!

Belly Button in or out: in

Wedding rings on or off: on and still fitting like normal :) 

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, MOST of the time, but I can get pretty moody sometimes.

Sleep:  Like I said before, besides waking up because my side is asleep i feel good!  It might be that I'm just super exhausted though.

Showing:  Yes, I have finally gotten people asking me, OMG you're preggers?  I usually reply with "No, I'm just fat!" but at least they know now that all these months, I wasn't just gaining weight from hot cheetos :)

Dear Grey's Anatomy,

I am so close to finishing season 8, and you are so good!  I already can't wait until next season!!!  OMG!  So much is happening right now, and I have no idea how you are still going to continue??!  It almost doesn't seem possible, but I have a couple more episodes of you this season so we shall see.

Dear Puppies,

I am happy that you guys are slowly leaving, with just Charlie gone the house is cleaner...BUT we will MISS you, LOTS & LOTS promise.  P.S. we'll also be keeping up with you via Instagram & FB because everyone that is taking you is really close to us.

Dear New Apartment,

Tomorrow is the day!!  YAY!!  I can't wait!!!  We go pick up the keys today, and I can't wait to see what you actually look like from the inside!  P.S. Thanks for being in the shade by the grass, because we LOVE your location WAYYY better then the one that we looked at in the first place.

Dear Memory,

REALLY!?!?  Where are you!?!?!  I need you back ASAP pleaseeeeeeee...please please please stop going missing, I really could have used you this morning when I was supposed to bring the Honda to work & I accidentally brought the Xterra, that was supposed to go to the shop to get some work done!!  Why did I remember this when the Husband text me RIGHT when I pulled into work!?!  Oh & this month when I forgot the Husband's truck tags were due, and I could have cost us OVER a hundred dollars!!! (thank god that we have the hookups and they were able to get passed us paying those pesky fees) -.- Come back soon memory please, I need you!!!

It's Okay Thursday

It's Thursday ALREADY!  YAY!!! :D  (even if it does feel like Monday, right?)

It's OKAY that....

....I feel like today is MONDAY!!  Thank God it's NOT!

....my poor forehead is PEELING like CRAZY...it's a GOOD thing that I have bangs to cover it up, because REALLY it's sooooooo terrible.

....we went to Burlington the other day to see if they had this playpen that I'm OBSESSED with, and NOT ONLY did they have it, BUT they ALSO had bedding that I am OBSESSED with!!!  As soon as I saw it I was soooooo excited!!  I've been searching and searching for CUTE dino bedding that had GREEN, GRAY, ORANGE & BLUE in it, and guess what this one had?!  ALL those colors!! LOVE LOVE LOVE! (you know you're going to be a Mom, when you're super excited for crib sheets :l )

P.S. It's 100xs cuter in person!

....Penelope is soooo cute, that I can't stop holding her, I'm so glad she is as calm as a cucumber :)

....JULY is here and I couldn't be more excited! :)

....we are moving in less then two days, actually picking up the keys tomorrow, AND we don't have everything packed yet

....Carter has been moving a lot today, and I think it's the iced coffee I had this morning

....the 4th of July, is STILL one of my favorite holidays :D

....yesterday, was the first 4th of July in 4 years that I didn't make a SUPER cute dessert, and I was kinda sad about it :( NEXT YEAR I must make up for it, with TWO extra cute desserts!!!

....I've been watching Grey's Anatomy NON-STOP and I can't stop until I finish the entire show! (at least until next season)

....I am more in love with my husband today then yesterday, is that possible??  I just figured out that we have been together for 50 months on July 3rd, isn't that CRAZY!  I was laughing about making a big deal about it, but the more that I think about it the more it's crazy to think that for 50 straight months we have lived our lives ALMOST inseparable!!  Weird to think that we've only spent TWO nights our entire relationship apart, and it makes me happy knowing that neither of us would have it any other way.

....I'm happy my comadre seems to be feeling a lot better, it makes my heart happy to see her happy :)  Good things are coming your way love, PROMISE!!

HAPPY 236th BIRTHDAY AMERICA!!

MOVING is the WORST

So, I have been talking about us moving for a while now, and it's FINALLY the week that we are moving!  When we got married we had Little Fox, and we needed a place that allowed dogs, and was in the price range that we felt comfortable with, so when we found the place we are in now, I was excited!  It was little, BUT it was more room then we had living at my parents house in a tiny bedroom!  AND we LOVED LOVED LOVED the neighborhood, they allowed dogs, and the floors were hardwood and AMAZING!

Needless to say, we looked passed some things that were NOT so great, the itty bitty kitchen (literally, if two people are in there you will be pumping into each other, and the fridge won't open all the way) -.- ALSO to get from the car to our house, is FOUR yes FOUR flights of stairs, same thing if you want to do laundry.  AND the walls are paper thin, OH and we have had LOTS of complainers about anything from our dogs WALKING too hard, living next to a Fraternity House, AND oh ya neighbors leaving notes on our door, TWO weeks after we moved in saying that they can hear our TV! (ridiculous, considering for ONE of week we were gone on our honeymoon) It has been a long, almost two years, and we really did love this tiny apartment, it was the BEST first apartment, AND I am going to miss it, BUT I am ready to move on to bigger and better things!

The new apartment has a POOL, a FITNESS CENTER (it's tiny, but it has a treadmill), a BALCONY, TWO BEDROOMS & TWO BATHROOMS, a BIG step up from our tiny one bedroom, one bath right now, A HUGE kitchen with LOTS of counter space, a DISH WASHER, a wayyy bigger dining area, AND bigger closets (which is funny, because when we moved into the apartment we are in right now, we were super excited about the closet that we have right now, because we had the super small standard closet before) and NOW bigger!!  I'm excited!!!  

So, now the downside to moving....

PACKING

I hate it, so much!  We kinda started on Sunday which means we packed all our DVD's and some of our books! :)  and umm that's it, and then last night we started packing up MOST of the living room, actually it's pretty much packed just furniture left.

BUT, I have been on the phone with people from all the utility companies for the last two days, and blahhhh I don't like dealing with all the people I have to deal with to change everything over, it reminds me of when I was changing my name :l

So, after ALL of this complaining about moving, I mean I think I've done enough of it in my life, considering when I was in college I MOVED EVERY SINGLE YEAR :/ BUT I am really really really excited to finally be in the new apartment, it's bigger, and better and hopefully doesn't have paper thin walls, AND to make things better our neighbors are moving to the SAME apartment complex like us, remember when I was talking about how sad I was that we were leaving them, because they are the BEST neighbors ever!  WELL looks like we will just be cross the street neighbors soon, so we're excited! :D

BUT, until everything is set up in our NEW apartment, I'm going to continue to complain about how much I hate moving, thank god we have LOTS and LOTS of people coming to help us with the move,

So, happy 4th of July EVE everyone!!!  I hope you guys have lots of fun, eating, drinking and lighting fireworks tomorrow, I LOVE the 4th! 
SO MUCH FUN!!

Baby Laines-24 Weeks

How far along:  24 weeks Baby Carter is now Viable and I couldn't be happier :) 

Baby's size: Baby Carter is now the size of a cantaloupe  

Miss Anything: Being able to sleep on my back, my doctor said after 24 weeks, not to sleep on my back anymore, even though that is the MOST comfortable way for me to sleep, so I miss being able to sleep comfortably.  If I sleep on my side, I usually wake up every couple of hours :/

Best moment this week:  I have been searching & searching for CUTE dinosaur bedding for baby Carter, and  I have found NO luck whatsoever, all of the bedding I have found has been filled with BROWNS & BEIGES and those are BORING!!  BUT this weekend, we went to look at some baby stuff @ Burlington Coat Factory, AND guess what I found!?!  THE CUTEST dinosaur crib bedding, AND since they only had ONE more left we had to buy it.  BUT now baby Carter will have the CUTEST baby dinosaur bedding I've ever seen :)

Movement: He has been moving a lot less this week, I want him to move more!!  BUT, I do feel him at random times, he just hasn't been kicking as hard as I would like him to be.

Food cravings: Sweets, ALL the time!!  I wanted See's Candy yesterday, so bad AND we went and it was CLOSED :(  I got cookies instead, and thank god they were DELICIOUS!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope, nothing that I can think of at the top of my head

Maternity Clothes: They are sooooo comfortable!!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE them, I just wish that I had more to wear, because I am wearing my same pants & shorts every single day :l

Happy or Moody most of the time: Still happy, most of the time, I'm so excited ONLY 3 full months until baby Carter is here!  EEEK I can't wait!!! :)  BUT like mentioned above, I randomly get super cranky! 


Sleep: Oh, I already said that this week, I wake up almost 3 times a night and it is NOT fun, I'm hoping I can get used to sleeping on my side and I'll be more comfortable soon?  Ya, I'll just hope for that.

Showing:  More & More all the time, people have finally started to say "OMG!  You're preggers, I didn't even know" well at least they can tell now that I wasn't just fat, YAY!

I really am loving your name it's so long for a little tiny puppy, but you are sooooo cute, and I just realized that I do NOT have ONE single picture of you, that WILL change this weekend!  But you were cute when you were little too.

Dear Baby Carter,

Oh man, I can feel you are getting bigger in there, only a short 16 weeks until you are here, and I can't wait!!! :D  P.S. I didn't feel you really move around in there on either Monday or Tuesday and I was getting sad, UNTIL yesterday you were moving around a lot in there, AND today you've been moving ALL morning LONG, sorry to say but I think you really really liked that cup of noodle I gave you this morning, sorry buddy you can't have those all the time, but I'm glad you loved it!

Oh goodness, you REALLY REALLY need a haircut!  LIKE NOW!!!  But, thanks to Pinterest, I have been able to keep you out of my face the last couple of weekends, and not just look like a total boring mess.

Dear Marlee Muffin,

Sometimes, you really really really drive me crazy, especially when you think it's acceptable to WAKE me up at 6 AM to put you on the bed, I KNOW that I created a MONSTER, by letting you get on the bed for a solid week, and didn't even care that you were waking me up, BUT really?  You are old enough to be trained to listen, you need to act your age little muffin!  Training starts now, because you can not be acting crazy once Carter gets here!  Okay, promise if you listen we'll give you the BEST treats!  I'll even talk the husband into buying you some pig ears, and sticks, cause I KNOW you love them!!
