June Bloom!

Okayyyyyy soooooo I totally want to get into blogging remember my New Years resolution to blog more?  Well it's only taken me til June to make it an actual priority!

sooooo I decided to do a blog challenge & I've tried the 30 day challenge in blogging before and it was HARD to blog every single day, soooo I decided to do a 30 day challenge of blogging every OTHER day so a total of 15 posts & it totally seems possible for me to do!  (That's what I'm hoping anyway!)

Sooooo without further ado I introduce you to the 30 day challenge of this little blog!  I hope you wanna join too?  I mean why not right?

In case you don't understand every day is a one word prompt soooo today is Sunday.  Write about anything including Sunday!  Heck you could write a whole blog post & just include the word sunday the point is to just blog!  So go for it!

Family Vacation

So this last weekend we spent 5 days in Indio, CA.  If you don't know where Indio is, it's a town a little past Palm Springs, CA.  It's where Coachella is held every year.  Anywho, like I said before this trip has become a family tradition for the last couple of years...the first year we went to Big Bear....then Vegas....then Palm Springs and this year Indio....don't ask where we are going next year because we have NO idea yet.  I don't decide until ummm we absolutely MUST decide!  We'll figure it out once the times comes, until then I'm gonna tell you ALL about our WONDERFUL trip to Indio, CA.

MOSTLY ALL of the pictures that I am going to post on my blog here are from this girls FaceBook, BUT don't you worry your little heads there is NO way she is going sue me for Copyright laws because, well she's my cousin and her son is my godson and well she loves me too much!  BESIDES she'll probably NEVER write a blog post about the last weekend, cause she's a TERRIBLE blogger now, and likes to blame it on the fact that she doesn't have a computer.  whateva.  BUT in case she does want to sue me I'm going to add #TBJ next to all the pics I jacked from her :)

I KNEW that it was going to be hot, because I asked Siri and she said...

BUT we all figured, it wasn't THAT bad considering that we went to Palm Springs last year and it was RIDICULOUSLY HOT and muggy the whole time, so we hoped for the BEST :) 

P.S. YES it did Rain on Monday, so much in fact that we actually got kicked out of the pool!

We arrived in Indio around 2:30 ish, and ONLY two of our 4 rooms were ready so we hung out with everyone that was there for about 2 or so hours....drinking wonderful Margaritas 

unfortunately it was virgin for me :l #TBJ

We enjoyed the view....and it was 

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!

and this was the day that we were leaving and it was all rainy and gloomy

That was only one of the pools and you can't see all the jacuzzi's that were EVERYONE plus the multiple KIDDIE pools & the LAZY river!!  It was sooooo nice!  Way nicer then I expected it to be that's for sure, and all of the timeshares that my Dad owns are REALLY nice!

We ALL FINALLY got our rooms and I had to go to the store (of course).  You see, beforehand I had set up a MENU for us all to follow so that NOT one family or person got stuck doing all the cleaning or cooking, while someone else did NOTHING.

We were there from Friday (afternoon) until Tuesday morning/afternoon.

I just realized as I am typing this that, all Friday night from when I got there until I went to bed, all I did was get everything ready for the entire weekend, in hopes that meant I could relax the rest of the weekend, so after we ate dinner and my dad arrived we headed to the store to get the rest of our supplies for the THIRTY-TWO people that joined us on this trip.  YES you read that right THIRTY-TWO people!  TWENTY-THREE adults and NINE kids!

yes, it was crazy and YES it was FUN!!

So to not bore you with lots of details I'm going to give you a run down of what we did while there...

We 

WATCHED THE OLYMPICS!

lazyyyyy's AND yes we were under the covers in the 100 degree weather because the room temperature was set to 68!

We 

PLAYED BINGO

 where we thought we would win a SUPER cool prize, and didn't even take the kids with us because we THOUGHT it was Adults only....ya, we were the ONLY adult only table.

As you can see by our faces!  We were ALL shocked we were the only ones without kids! #TBJ

Needless to say with ALL those cards we didn't win NOTHING, NOT even ONCE!  

WE did 

LOTS of eating!

and I might have bought stuff to make sundaes TWO nights in a row and the kids didn't get any either night...sorry kids but Carter made me do it!

It was so much fun, and now of COURSE I can't wait for the next Vacation!  We'll have to see where we end up...even though I KNOW NO matter where we go, I'm POSITIVE it's going to be a BLAST!!

Baby Laines-Week 21 + a weekend update!

How far along: 21 Weeks :)

Baby's size: about 10 1/2 inches, the size of a spaghetti squash! 

Miss Anything: since it's getting hotter, I'm definitely starting to miss alcohol more and more :(  ONLY 4 more months plus breast feeding right? :/

Best moment this week:  looking at all the baby boy stuff at Target and imagining that in a short four months he will be here!  AND I can't wait!!

 

Movement: No crazy moves or kicks this week, but I feel something, I guess he's just too little for me to feel him moving out of control!

 

Food cravings: nothing this week...that I can remember

 

Anything making you queasy or sick: no. I can even eat chicken (kinda)

Maternity Clothes: YUCK!! I still NEED to invest in some maternity clothes, but I don't want to!  All of my shirts are getting shorter and shorter and my pants are not buttoning AT ALL!  As soon as I get home I literally change in to some sort of lounge clothes cause they're that much more comfortable :/ 

Stretch marks: none yet...still praying

 

Symptoms I HAVE:  still in the honeymoon stage that they keep talking about, and its amazing :D

 

Doctor’s Appointment:  you can read alllllllll about the last one here!  And our next one isn't until the end of the month, so for now baby laines is just growing and hanging out!

 

What I'm looking forward to:  I can't wait to set up his room!  I am constantly looking online for things to buy him, but don't want to buy anything until we move, just so that it doesn't get lost in the shuffle!

Gender: BOY!!!

Wedding rings on or off: on and still fitting like normal :) 

Happy or Moody most of the time: I can feel myself geting more and more easily angered!  I don't know how to stop it either!  the other day I dropped the orange juice container out of the fridge and I was sooo mad, then I tried to put something else back in the fridge and I dropped the eggs, I was so mad, I couldn't even get over it!  I have noticed that when people tell me dumb things or ask me dumb questions it gets on my nerves so much easier...I wish it wasn't like this but I feel like I can't help it, I try to stay as calm as possible but sometimes it doesn't work

Sleep: It's still good thank god!

OKAY!!  Now on to the weekend update!!  I feel like a lot happened this weekend (kinda) so I would update on what is new in this little Laines home of ours!

 

We baby sat my godson Joseph & the husband's god daughter Delylah this weekend!  It was super last minute but it was hilarious!  You see Delylah is only a year and a 1/2 and she was fast asleep before we got home, and what do you know when we got home @ 1 am, guess who decides its time to wake up and play!?!  I thought I was going to die, I had been up since 8 and I was ready for bed!  So we watched some cartoons had some milk and FINALLY @ 2:30 I asked her if she was ready for bed now and she said "Ya!"  Yes!  Finally, some SLEEP!!  BUT guess who woke up before EIGHT the next morning?!  YEP!  She did!  I was so tired, and all I kept thinking was how am I going to live without sleep when the baby gets here!?!  Here's hoping that Carter likes to sleep in :D

 

We are moving!  I'm not sure if I have said this before, but we are, we had to give a 60 day notice, and it has already been almost FORTY something, we are supposed to be out of our Apartment as of the 30th!  I can't believe it those 60 days went by fast!!!

 

So, we hadn't really been looking at a lot of places, actually we hadn't looked at any places at all!  It's soooooooo hard to find a place that allows animals, and if they do, they are usually not that nice of an apartment!  So I have been on a hunt for a couple of weeks to find a TWO bedroom that allows pets!

 

Before we moved into the apartment that we are in right now, we had found this apartment complex in a nice neighborhood that allowed pets, but it was a little more then we wanted to spend just getting married and all!

 

So, once we were moving again I knew that I wanted to look at those apartments AGAIN! So we made an appointment to go check them out this weekend, and BOY did we LOVE them! 

 

They are so cute and way nicer then the ones we live in right now, I  mean these new ones have a washer & dryer INCLUDED in them!  A pool!  a small gym (at least it has one) and this one has TWO bedrooms & TWO bathrooms one inside of our bedroom!  OH and the kitchen is about twice the size of the one we have right now!  AND so is the dining room, and when we moved into our apartment I thought our closet was big BUT this one is BIGGER!!  LOVE!!

 

We instantly fell in love, mostly because it comes with a washer and dryer AND oh it has a balcony so that the beasts and I can sit out in the sun, OH and we can put the BBQ up there and BBQ from the comfort of our own home :D

 

SO we will be putting a deposit on it this week, and lets hope everything works out because I can't wait to have more room to move around in and just a different apartment all together!

Other then that we just hung out and watched movies all weekend, went and grabbed some dinner @ a mexican food place, and  had lots of leftovers!

 

I'm excited for the upcoming weeks, I can't wait to move and I can't wait to Carter to start moving more, we have a couple of birthday parties this month and then my bday is next month and VACATION!  So excited for what summer has in store for us!

 

A CRAZY weekend in VEGAS!!!

And when I say crazy I mean CRAZY!!!

For starters, I had an interview on Friday (super last minute) for a job in Ontario (since this was on the way to Vegas) we got up early & packed and were ready for my interview & Vegas! Good thing we didn't need gas, and it wasn't 8:45 & my interview wasn't @ 9:20!! Oh wait!!! It WAS!!! and we had to drive from Whittier to Ontario! Ummm just a 31 mile drive No Big Deal! So we zoomed (and I mean zoomed) over there to make it by 9:15 thanks to Gustavo & his AWESOME driving skills! About an hour or so later we were off to Vegas!

Oh wait!!! No we weren't!! We still had to do a run by chipping!!


And some LOVELY pink drinks!


AND then we were on our way! FINALLY!! playing ABC bingo allllllllllllllllllll the way!! Oh wait no!! We started ABC bingo & then my love decided that we HAD to go to walmart because he NEEDED tank tops! So we were off in VictorVille (I know, isn't it cool that he has his VERY OWN VILLE?!?) I wish there was a JadeVille!

We were looking for walmart BUT low & behold there was a SUPER ghetto indoor swap meet right in front of us!! Yay!! Just what we were looking for! So we stopped off making sure NOT to talk to ANY of the crazy people that were there EXCEPT for the one that kept talking to us about his suga mama! AND we met the NICEST little Mr. Miyagi I've EVER met! He was so cute I wanted to take him with us! But, we couldn't!

Okay!! Now FOR SURE we were not stopping AND surprisingly we didn't! We made it to State Line and saw this!


It is the shade that my love made while driving because he was getting hit by the sun (too bad he used Tavo's shirt instead of his own) meany! :)

We finally got to Excalibur & we were soooooo excited we ALL took a nap! :D

Once we woke up we took a couple minutes to people watch which is ALWAYS fun!! And we started having fun.

I think this guy was having a little too much fun!!! :)



We were then STARVING so we were on our way to Dicks! BUT NOT before stocking up on drinks!!



AND kissing the mirror! Why?! Idk just cause ;) it was funny!

We ended up playing some roulette & craps for a little while & then my love fell asleep in a keno chair & we were off to bed :/

The next morning we got ready had the BEST buffet in the WHOLE world (seriously, how can you mess up Nacho Cheese?) *gross* EXCALIBUR BUFFET IS GROSS!!!!! Blahhhhhhh

Then we were off to to the pool for a day in the sun!

Where we paid $40 for 2 chairs, an umbrella, a bucket of water, and two teeny, tiny bags of chips! Yay! (actually we stick 9 people in those 2 chairs so it wasn't too bad)

Where Tavo's belly button felt the urge to smoke a cigarette...



Where Leslie bought a walgreens bathing suit that was actually really cute!

(she also turned her face white with sunscreen and it was the highlight of the pool) I LOVED your white face Leslie!! I loved it more when you thought that Tavo was laughing at something at your head when he was HYSTERICALLY laughing from across the pool! :D

Tavo drank from a Fat Tuesday cup (from Florida NOT Las Vegas) and a beer (explains the pix to come)

Now, in the time of us leaving the pool & going to the room my love decided to get lost...so since I'm the loving wife I am, I went to go find him! While I was gone the guys were doing this!!!



I have to assume he is blowing on them so they dry, but I like to think he thought there was a candle on top of them & they told him to blow it out! :)



Now they told him to pucker up! And give them a kiss!



And then they all high fived at what a great job they had done! To come up with something so incredible



And then Chris said "what's that over there??"



Oh!! It's Victor & he's laughing because Jade is downstairs making sure I didn't drown in the pool! That's so funny! Let's point & laugh @ her DICKS!!!



Chris calls my name & Victor laughs @ me my expense some more JERK!



But then I came back & he said peace, oh & by the way babe will you grab me some champagne it's right there on the dresser, no juice please! Oh sure babe anything for you!! And YEP I fell for the trick!!



Tavo then decided he was tired so multitasked by planking & napping, while Leslie got ready!



While Chris had other plans!



While my love decided that his hair needed to be straightened! (with a pink straightener of course)



We FINALLY finished getting ready for our adventure and not ONE but TWO terminators joined us for the evening!!! :)



And then Chris hung on for dear life from the gust of wind that almost took him!



Then I won this!!!!!



And had the MOST amazing dinner! BUT all Tavo cared about was his bottles!



And then we walked all over the strip with my BLINGED out lollipop, GIANT corona, my fun guitar, drank out of an ice cup, while sitting in a freezer! Played 3 card poker, roulette, and craps! (lost & won & spent wayyyyyy too much money!)

So much that my hand ended up like this!!!



BUT then in the morning I found a hidden $25! Yay!!! So I played $20 on a $1 machine! And I won this!!!!

And I thought it was sooooo much!!! Yay!!! I'm a balla!!!



Oh wait!!! Why did it stop ringing?!? Oh that's right! Because it was ONLY $20 wahhhhhhhhh :)

It's okay I put my $5 in a 1c machine! My FAVORITE!! And I won a $100 not too shabby bought our groceries for the week :)

It was a GREAT trip so much fun & drama free the BEST!!! Can't wait for the next trip with all of these lovely people :))
