Andddd it's only been a couple of months.

Haha how many blog posts has it been now that begin with, "I should really be blogging more and I want make it a point to now." -.- it's ridiculous how much I want to blog but don't.  

Welllll from now on I'm not gonna write it I'm just gonna start with this...

Ohhhhh heyyyyy little blog of mine, long time no see!  I've missed you dearly old buddy, let's catch up!

You see, in this 20 or so weeks that I have not blogged I have done so much.  We moved.  We had a beautiful baby, and I've been raising a child that although is only slightly over a year & a 1/2 old is definitely starting his terrible twos early!! (Did I jumpstart them by having a baby? I think I might have).

Before we go any further, please let me introduce you 

Reagan Emmie Laines

This is her today, and she will be a whole two months next week!  Where has the time gone??  

She had a TOTALLY different birth story then Carter, and can I just say that I thought everyone said the second labor is easier?  Idk who made up that lie because my second delivery was definitely NOT easier!  :l

Can I please just tell you now, that being a mom to a girl is so much fun!  I mean carter was so much fun when he was a baby too, but a baby with a huge bow on her head and a cute romper on is to die for.  I'm officially more obsessed with baby clothes >.<

And dresses?  Omg it's totally okay to start dreaming of her first bday dress right?  Because I am!  :)

Carter is adjusting well, kinda sorta.  He goes through stages where he loves his sister & then he doesn't love his sister that much!  Haha

It's nice to write down my random thoughts.  Let's see if I remember to do this more often :)

Life

Sometimes...life gets in the way of things we want to do with all it's CRAZINESS!!  Somehow I stopped blogging in September & never came back to it :(

Sooooo to catch up I'll give the QUICK highlights!

Carter got super sick more then once including ONE overnight stay at the hospital a semi-surgery (soooo scary!!  But sooooo thankful he's better now!!). TWO ambulance rides, (okay, one MIGHT have been unnecessary BUT I was freaked from the last experience!) 

Carter turned ONE!  Celebrated his first bday which I definitely want to blog about!  AND had the BEST time ever at BOTH his bday party 

& his actual birthday!  :)

We finallyyyyy told EVERYONE about baby #2 :D 

We found out baby #2 is a baby GIRL!!!!  :D!!!

We celebrated our THIRD year of marriage!!

Celebrated the husbands dad's 50th bday!  :)

Found out my closest cousin is ALSO expecting NOT only a baby ONE month before us BUT also a baby girl!  Eeek literally SO excited!!  (They're already gonna be BEST cousins!  They have NO choice!)

Anddddd we're excited about the new year!  And to see what's in store for us this year and can't wait to welcome baby girl :)

Weekend Update

I know that I always end up posting my weekend updates on Tuesdays, it's USUALLY because I am posting about Baby Laines on Mondays....sooooo I don't get to talk about my weekend until Tuesdays! I am so excited it's my first week off of work and I think I am unlike most 38 week pregnant ladies, because although I would loveeeeee for Baby Carter to make his appearance into this world VERY soon it would be nice if he stood in there a little while so I can get things ready at the house and have some time to relax, because it's really hard with a BIG watermelon taking up your entire body :)

Sooooo...this weekend was eventful!  It was my last day of work on Friday, and it is a surreal feeling all weekend I just kept thinking that I was going to have to go back to work, when in reality I don't! :D Before I stopped working I had to stop by Starbucks...and OF COURSE they got my name wrong again...PROOF that they don't understand the name JADE :l  whateva AT least it was delicious!  Jay, Jane...Jade same thing right?

My cousin sent me a picture that I still can NOT stop laughing at!  I mean seriously!?!  So freakin HILARIOUS!!  HIS face is TOO much!  I think this should be his costume for sure!  So funny!!

I was going through pictures on my phone for #tbt on Instagram and I was so sad to look at this picture of me from a couple of years ago....I wonder if I'll ever be able to fit in those jeans again :l  I don't even remember what it was like to NOT have a belly in front of me!

 P.S. I LOVE Disneyland, and can't wait to go back!  My passes are premium but it's been sooooo hot during the summer that I haven't wanted to go, and now I'm so pregnant I don't want to go...anyone want to go during the week?  Friday?? :D

We bought a new crate for Penelope, because the one we had for her was the size of a HUGE dog, like a golden retriever!!  and it was taking up WAYY too much room in our bedroom!  So we got her a smaller one, and my cousin bought her dog one too (he's Penelope's BIGGER brother) and her daughter (the husband's god daughter) Delylah wanted to test it out, you know make sure it was safe for her puppy to use :)

 As I was driving home on Friday from my grandma's house I saw this amazing view!  I LOVE it!  Plus it started getting a lot cooler last week, so right now I'm pretty much IN LOVE with the Fall weather currently going on!!

On Saturday the husband and I went to breakfast at Denny's and I always think it's so funny how they do themes of food there, a couple of weeks ago they were doing around the U.S. or something and everything was themed by states, it's so fun, even if I NEVER ever get anything from that menu...right now it's bacon time!  The Husband got something off the menu though, and it looked amazing, I almost wanted to trade him, but his had onions :l  (gross I hate onions)

Like I told you we got a new King Size bed a couple of weeks ago, so in order to clean out Carter's room we had to get rid of the old bed...and we did that on Saturday and the WHOLE ride from our house to my parents the husband and I could NOT stop laughing thinking "what if the mattress fell off in the middle of the road?"  So embarrassing but would be the FUNNIEST thing EVER!!

My friend from college came to visit, one last visit before Baby Carter makes his appearance and it was fun!  We watched the Fresno State game on TV and then we went to eat a type of food called Shabu Shabu, it was AMAZING!!  IF you have never heard of it, look it up...sooooo good!!  You put order a broth to cook your food in, which there were like 20 different types then you order the type of meat you want...then a type of dipping sauce!  I guess my combination was the BEST one because it was delicious!!  and it was LOTS and LOTS of fun to cook too...some of the people that we were with said it was kinda like the melting pot, so NOW I have to try that ASAP!

We hung out at our house after, and on Sunday we watched some football and got ready for my gmas bday dinner!

I brought the cake, but I promise that soon, I will start making the cakes for events again!  They're so much cuter then the ones I buy from the store, and we can customize them ourselves!  I've just been sooooo tired!  Baby Carter takes ALL my energy!  We did have a blast though, we always do!  I mean there were ALMOST thirty of us!  AND we were all there to celebrate this lady :)

She's so cute! :D  AND amazing :)  and while we were there I realized that the next time we go anywhere or celebrate anything together as a family Baby Carter will be here!!  I can't believe it!  Like literally can't believe that I am going to be a mom VERY SOON!  :)  AND I couldn't be happier!

On the way home the Husband and I stopped by Babies R Us to use our gift cards and to pick up a diaper bag, because ummm we didn't have one!   Of course when we got home the husband put together all the stuff we got LIKE a brand new stroller, and I have to say the Chicco Liteway is amazing!!  BEST umbrella stroller I've EVER seen because it reclines ALL the way down so you could even put a brand new baby in it!  LOVE LOVE LOVE!

 We also picked up a few toys for Baby Carter, while we were there!

We had the best weekend, and I'm so glad to be home this week to relax a little, get my house in order a little and wait for baby Carter to make his appearance...but don't rush baby Carter, me and your Dad are enjoying our last days of just the two of us while you are baking away :D

Someone Special's Bday :)

Today, October 3rd is one of the MOST amazing days in the whole world....why you ask??

Because today is my Grandma's Bday :D

I'm POSITIVE I've mentioned her once, or twice, heck i'm sure MORE then that....I mean I did write this WHOLE post about how important my family is to me :D

And this lady!

is the person that holds this entire family together! :D

Literally, she is the one that reminds us to be strong, to be brave and to live our lives to the best of our ability!  NO matter what she has taught us that no matter what happens everything is going to be okay, she truly is the strongest person I know!

AND the most amazing women to walk this earth :)  She's the BEST grandma!  The MOST caring and LITERALLY an angel that walks this earth :D  ASK ANYONE!

I know that everyone probably thinks that they have the BEST grandma, but really she's amazing :)  I mean the thing that I'm MOST excited for Carter is that he is going to have an AMAZING great grandma!!  one that loves with her whole heart, one that makes the MOST amazing rice, and will ALWAYS make him sopita NO matter what time of day!  One that will listen to all of your problems without making you feel like you ruined your life, and will always make you feel better when your sick.  She is  A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!  So, today is her day and I mean really she doesn't look a DAY over 55 :)  She's so cute!!

My cousins and I are really blessed to have her as our grandma, and our kids are blessed that she is part of their lives!!  I can't say enough times, how blessed I feel to have this lady in my life!  EVEN if she did make me cry, TWO seconds before walking out the door to my wedding with this blessing :)

I LOVE you to infinity and beyond grandma!!

Lucky # 13

So this weekend I was talking to my grandma AND showing her this picture

my cousin had posted it the other day, found it when she was going through her stuff at home.

you see, when we started it was just the FOUR of us, and look @ how cute we were :)  

I mean really super cute!  

(don't pay attention to the fact that NONE of us are looking at the camera) well besides me & the gramps

so it was the four of us for what felt like forever, I guess it really was only five and a 1/2 years or so but when I'm 4 years older then my sister that means that from me to my sister 4 years, there were four of us, and then NOT another grand kid for five and a 1/2 years after that!  So the four of us became SUPER close, especially because even after they had another baby the four of us went to school together still and spent the ENTIRE summer with our grandma! :D  it was the BEST way to grow up by FAR!

Since we grew up so close being bound by my grandma & grandpa's love I have always been close to my cousins, we don't go a couple of weeks without talking or seeing each other, and you better believe we NEVER miss a birthday party or event without a REALLY REALLY good reason to miss, because we truly look forward to seeing each other and love being around each other.

So, what leads me to LUCKY NUMBER 13, well I have mentioned before on here that I LOVE the number 13 now, it reminds me of my Grandpa and it just makes me happy :)  We picked our wedding date on that day on PURPOSE...and if Carter comes ONE week & ONE day early his bday will be on the 13th, and really my bday is 31 so backwards it's 13 right?  :)  Well I was showing my grandma the picture of just the four of us and I realized that we have grown so much and it's amazing that when we were a tiny family all of us would fit inside her little house no problem!  Actually we felt like it was BIG!  Before my grandpa passed away he added a HUGE den/living room onto their house which made the old living room turn into the dining room and made the new room a HUGE living room!  I can't imagine all of us fitting inside of my grandma's old house it would have been entirely too tiny!  My grandpa knew we were going to be expanding and made sure that we had room to grow in his tiny house :)

Well now I counted, there are EIGHT grand kids now and FOUR great grand kids!  Which equals TWELVE grand kids in total for my grandma and it's amazing that,

Baby Carter will be lucky NUMBER 13 :D 

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Can't wait for him to join this amazing family and have all 11 cousins to play with and love on him he is going LOVE it as much as I do!

Family Vacation

So this last weekend we spent 5 days in Indio, CA.  If you don't know where Indio is, it's a town a little past Palm Springs, CA.  It's where Coachella is held every year.  Anywho, like I said before this trip has become a family tradition for the last couple of years...the first year we went to Big Bear....then Vegas....then Palm Springs and this year Indio....don't ask where we are going next year because we have NO idea yet.  I don't decide until ummm we absolutely MUST decide!  We'll figure it out once the times comes, until then I'm gonna tell you ALL about our WONDERFUL trip to Indio, CA.

P.S. MOSTLY ALL of the pictures that I am going to post on my blog here are from this girls FaceBook, BUT don't you worry your little heads there is NO way she is going sue me for Copyright laws because, well she's my cousin and her son is my godson and well she loves me too much!  BESIDES she'll probably NEVER write a blog post about the last weekend, cause she's a TERRIBLE blogger now, and likes to blame it on the fact that she doesn't have a computer.  whateva.  BUT in case she does want to sue me I'm going to add #TBJ next to all the pics I jacked from her :)

I KNEW that it was going to be hot, because I asked Siri and she said...

BUT we all figured, it wasn't THAT bad considering that we went to Palm Springs last year and it was RIDICULOUSLY HOT and muggy the whole time, so we hoped for the BEST :) 

P.S. YES it did Rain on Monday, so much in fact that we actually got kicked out of the pool!

We arrived in Indio around 2:30 ish, and ONLY two of our 4 rooms were ready so we hung out with everyone that was there for about 2 or so hours....drinking wonderful Margaritas 

unfortunately it was virgin for me :l #TBJ

We enjoyed the view....and it was 

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!

and this was the day that we were leaving and it was all rainy and gloomy

That was only one of the pools and you can't see all the jacuzzi's that were EVERYONE plus the multiple KIDDIE pools & the LAZY river!!  It was sooooo nice!  Way nicer then I expected it to be that's for sure, and all of the timeshares that my Dad owns are REALLY nice!

We ALL FINALLY got our rooms and I had to go to the store (of course).  You see, beforehand I had set up a MENU for us all to follow so that NOT one family or person got stuck doing all the cleaning or cooking, while someone else did NOTHING.

We were there from Friday (afternoon) until Tuesday morning/afternoon.

I just realized as I am typing this that, all Friday night from when I got there until I went to bed, all I did was get everything ready for the entire weekend, in hopes that meant I could relax the rest of the weekend, so after we ate dinner and my dad arrived we headed to the store to get the rest of our supplies for the THIRTY-TWO people that joined us on this trip.  YES you read that right THIRTY-TWO people!  TWENTY-THREE adults and NINE kids!

yes, it was crazy and YES it was FUN!!

So to not bore you with lots of details I'm going to give you a run down of what we did while there...

We 

WATCHED THE OLYMPICS!

lazyyyyy's AND yes we were under the covers in the 100 degree weather because the room temperature was set to 68!

 where we thought we would win a SUPER cool prize, and didn't even take the kids with us because we THOUGHT it was Adults only....ya, we were the ONLY adult only table.

As you can see by our faces!  We were ALL shocked we were the only ones without kids! #TBJ

Needless to say with ALL those cards we didn't win NOTHING, NOT even ONCE!
